After having a very good evening with my family, I was relaxing on the couch and scrolling down the YouTube feed when I came across a video of Rahim perdesi titled “Halal Date”. After checking his instagram post captioned as “double trouble”, apparently it seems he has two wives. It made me really sad.
I know in Islam men can have two wives. I don’t have a problem with him in any way. Its his life and his choices. That being said, This whole scenario made me think can a man be in love with two women at the same time? Probably not. In this social media times people share their pictures and videos about everything that’s going on in their lives. I can’t imagine the heart break any first wife endures, the pain she goes through after seeing her husband with another woman.
Women give their youth, their time their everything to their husbands. Suddenly you are not good enough for him? I can’t imagine being in that place.
Second marriage is not compulsory. And in my opinion if someone decides to marry again then his private life should be private. One should not have to showcase everything in public. Think about the pain and mental stress you are inflicting on your spouse. Be considerate.
